CycleOS: Hustle Less, Flow More
This is my final-year Capstone project at Minerva University, borne out of my long-term struggle with premenstrual fatigue and insomnia.
Find this project's homepage here.
CycleOS is an Android app that aims to encourage sustainable productivity in menstruators by:
- Aggregating sleep and exercise data—securely and automatically—from other health apps on the user’s device wherever possible
- Visualizing the bidirectional relationships between their health, menstrual symptoms, and productivity data to increase awareness about how their lifestyle affects their menstrual cycle
- Encouraging them to exercise self-compassion and self-care, especially when healthy baselines are breached and/or menstrual symptoms are particularly intense, through the use of in-app messages as well as app notifications

SUMMER 2024
Research Intern, Psychology Lab @ Minerva University
Across 8 weeks in Summer 2024, I was blessed with the opportunity to contribute to the foundations of the Psychology Lab at Minerva University under the supervision of Dr. Mark Sheskin.
I collaborated with other interns on:
- Establishing useful Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the lab
- Setting up project management software and workflow for our team of 12 people
- Creating a participant scheduling system for our first pilot study using Cal.com
- Squashing code bugs in the Qualtrics survey we were using for the pilot study
- Running 30+ participants for a pilot study at Dolby Laboratories in San Francisco
I also spearheaded several projects:
- Proposing initiatives for juniors and seniors to utilize the lab's resources for their thesis (known as a "Capstone project")
- Drafting a mini handbook for handling data throughout all stages of the research process
- Crafting several hypotheses (with accompanying study designs) regarding my interests in meditation, music, and mental health*
*: Unfortunately, I can't reveal what the study is about—we're going to conduct it soon! All I can say is that it involves singing bowls, which I'm deeply in love with.
Other things:
- I assisted Prof Sheskin in one of his peer reviews and learned what to look out for
- I collaborated with another intern, Yelyzaveta Radionova, to share our knowledge of data analysis and causal inference with other interns via a 20-minute presentation
- I found 3 useful mindsets for squashing imposter syndrome
- I enjoyed working in the office thanks to 2 habits that created an amazing office vibe
